President – Terrell Hope: I am excited to serve as PTSA President at DeKalb School of the Arts, drawing on my background in communication, leadership, and community engagement. Previously, I served as Public Relations Specialist for Toastmasters International and as Vice President of the PTA at John P. Freeman Optional School, where I focused on fostering collaboration and advocating for student and family needs. Additionally, my work with the Black Achievers YMCA reinforced my commitment to inclusivity and supporting youth development. I look forward to working together to create a supportive, engaging environment for our school community.

Treasurer – Tamara Richardson: Tamara Richards is a nonprofit finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in tax and treasury management, financial reporting, and accounting policies and procedures. She has worked in various organizations, from nonprofit, to start-up and Fortune 500 companies. Her most recent role has been as a Controller at an educational curriculum organization where she has been responsible for all accounting and reporting activities. She currently serves as the Treasurer at Mad Housers, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on providing sustainable shelter for people experiencing homelessness, and previously served as the Treasurer and board member of The Museum School. Her child Nyx will be a tenth grade student this fall with a Visual Arts major and a Theater Production minor.
Secretary – Corny Delasalas: Works for AT&T in their national staff organization for outside network planning. Corny also volunteers for SoPo Bikes, a non-profit community bike shop, where he fixes kids bikes. He is a rock climber. Corny has two 9th graders this fall. Dirk will be attending Druid Hills HS while Solis is super excited to attend DSA. Corny is happy to help out at DSA and the PTSA executive committee.

Concessions – Tina Williams
The volunteers assist with the selling, set-up/breakdown, and upkeep of the concessions for shows.
Hospitality – Open
This committee oversees and organizes activities that require food purchases and contributions for our staff; such as: teacher/staff receptions, breakfasts, luncheons, student/teacher conference meals, teacher appreciation, monthly staff recognition.

Supports efforts of students and teachers to participate in the National PTA art recognition program. This committee will work closely with the Arts staff.
Spirit Wear – Joanne Deocompo –
This team manages inventory, coordinates volunteers to sell spirit wear at school events, and delivers products from online purchases.
