MINUTES
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM

Vice President Anna Blitz welcomed everyone and turned meeting over to Ms. McCauley.

Principal’s Report:

Ms. McCauley acknowledged staff and faculty in attendance.
After a three-day sick out, busses are back running as scheudled
Mr. Franks is on extended medical leave. Ms. Christian is the replacements
On Friday, April 27, Wingstop hosted DSA Appreciation Night and donated 20% of all orders to DSA.
Fringe Festival is May 5 from 11am – 7pm. Lantern Parade will take place Friday night.
Parents of juniors should research Posey Foundation scholarships. Information availabe at Councilor Corner.
SPA Award are May 12 at the Northside Double Tree. Tickets are on sale ($30) through Mr. Wright.
Honors Assembly is May 14 (grades 8 – 11) at 8:20AM; Senior Honors will be held at 7pm in gym.
DSA Graduation is May 24 at 4pm at the World Conference Center. A request for 1/2 day dismissal has been requested.
Ms. McCauley thanked PTSA board and parent volunteers.

Vice Principal’s Report

Ms. Branch updated group on testing. EOC testing begins April 25. Course verification forms are going home in early May and should be signed and returned.
Rosa Ray gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Construction Report
Walker Scott gave a construction report (nothing new to report – on hold and waiting for update from school board). He reminded group that the next Principal Advisory Council meeting is on May 8.

Nomination of New Officers
Allyson Gevertz presented the 2018/2019 PTSA Board Slate:
President: Stacey Lucas
Vice President: Katrina Mallory
Treasurer: Cherry Wongtrakool
Secretary: Lane Holman
Slate was approved.
DSA students who attended the American’s for the Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, DC gave a 10 minute presentation on what they learned and how they hope to advocate for the arts through DSA.
