Call to Order 7:04 pm

Treasurers Report:
- No formal report. Current liability amount is approximately $16,000 with $13,720 in checks.
Other:
Briefing from facilities
- Plans for 2016; faculty attended and expressed concerns; more discussions around programs decisions to continue. DSA will house kindergarten thru grade 12. Requested a follow up meeting to discuss the program further.
- Communication to be sent out after spring break to gain feedback from parents. Would like to look into studies and lessons learned from others schools. Scheduled to be held on 04/18 prior to meeting with DESA. Encourage everyone to attend.
- Foundation relationship with PTSA – it is a 501.C3 non-profit; goal is to support DSA. Note, foundation has more flexibility in decisions but PTSA is more restrictive.
- Carryover balance for 2013-2014 will be approximately $5,000 for startup in the fall. First purchase to be spirit wear. Request made to have a link in the DSA weekly to view spirit wear.
- $75-$100 request from the board
- $1,000 to dance department
- $1,000 teachers gifts
- $6,000 support
Principals Report – Mr. Winchester
- Mr. Winchester talks to Ms. McCauley daily and she’s doing great. She’s on track for recovery and will be attending the show Chicago. Thanks for all the support.
- Spring Break offices will be closed.
- CRCT starts when the students return from spring break and will need time to retest before the end of the school year.
- Senior letters sent out for those in danger of not graduating with action plans.
- Arts reviews to begin after spring break.
- GA young authors winners – Nadia May, Brooke Robinson and Dana Phillips.
- Chicago overbooked by 50 seats. Encourage parents to order tickets via email to ensure correct spelling of name.
- Security – DSA broken into and caught in the act. Administrators will continue making sure the school is secure. Encouraging the students to walk in 3s being proactive should anything occur.
- Electronic devices – there has been inappropriate content delivered via cell phones; policy is they should be turned off during the school day. If students need to use a phone they should ask their teacher or go to the front office.
- Kudos to the students as they have been doing well with changing the culture of leaving their items in the hall.

Motion passes.
No volunteer recognitions this month. Looking for help with spirit wear Thursday thru Saturday.
